The Chaplain of Bourbon Street

Now at 80 plus years, the Lord has seen fit to allow me to retire.  Oh, not from soul winning which I do on a daily basis, but in proclaiming the Word in meetings.  Since I am still here, I know God is not finished with me yet and it will be exciting to see what He has in mind for me on a daily basis.

One of the real encouragements of my ministry were my Harrington's Helpers that I found in every meeting.  These are folks who committed to support me in their prayers and a one time financial gift of $100 or more to my ministry.  I simply shared that I needed a support group of God's people as I went, and that if God directed, anyone could be a part of every soul the Lord allowed me to touch.  I still carry the names of all my Helpers everywhere I go and pray for them on a regular basis as I know they are praying for me.  May I take just a moment to say "thank you" to all of you who helped me go, share, encourage and win souls to Jesus.  If you were a Harrington Helper, you are truly going with me everywhere I go for the Lord.

Finally, I want to encourage all of you who know the Lord today to keep on keeping on for Him.  The Bible tells us that in the last days, the church as a whole will fall away from the Lord, but my friend, we don't have to be one of the ones who do.  The struggles may seem difficult as we give our best to serve Him, but the rewards are eternal and that great "cloud of witnesses" is cheering us on as we get to the finish line.  Let's make every minute count for Jesus by living our lives everyday seeking that opportunity to share Him with a hurting and dying world that thinks there is no hope.  You are the light of the yours shining?  Let's let folks know that truly...

It's Fun Being Saved!
